Project members Elizabeth Humphrys and Freya Newman have published an academic article in the Critical Sociology journal, titled ‘Construction Workers in a Climate Precarious World’.
The article focuses on climatic heat stress as a matter of occupational health and safety, in relation to the notion of precarious labour. We argue that:
‘…climatic heat stress events both exacerbate already existing precariousness and present opportunities to act on that status and in relation to the climate crisis.’
